AMU announces essay competition on "Sir Syed and Cultural Pluralism"

The Aligarh Muslim University will hold the annual All India Essay Writing Competition for university and college students on "Sir Syed and Cultural Pluralism" in English, Hindi, and Urdu.

AMU Public Relations Officer, Mr. Omar Saleem Peerzada said that the competition is being held in three languages, English, Urdu, and Hindi and the first, second and third prizes will be given in three languages separately.

"The essay writing competition is open for bonafide students of all Indian universities and colleges, however, the students up to Class XII are not eligible to participate in the competitions", he added.

Students interested in participating in the Hindi and Urdu essay competitions can write their essays on "Sir Syed Aur Sanskritik Bahulwad" and "Sir Syed Aur Saquafati Takseeriyat", respectively.

There are three cash prizes in each language, First Prize for Rs. 25,000/-, second for Rs. 15,000/- and the third for Rs. 10,000/- and the winners will be felicitated in the Sir Syed Day Commemorative Meeting on October 17.

Mr Peerzada said that the essay must reach by post at Public Relations Office, AMU, Aligarh-202001 and the soft copy by email at amuessaycompetition@gmail.com latest by October 1, 2022. Further details can be ascertained from the announcement available on the AMU website, www.amu.ac.in.
