Fever Clinic, Vaccination Centre inaugurated at AKTC

Thursday, January 13, 2022

Separate Fever Clinic and Vaccination Centre for children, in line with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and Ministry of AYUSH guidelines were inaugurated at the Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (AKTC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

“Fever Clinics separate people who may be contagious from other areas of hospitals and health centers, reducing potential spread of the viruses. It was imperative to have such a clinic at AKTC focused on treating adults and children with viral fever, cold cough, corhyza and other viruses particularly at a time when the Omicron variant of Covid is rapidly spreading”, said Prof Shaguta Aleem (Principal and Medical Superintendent, AKTC).

She added: “The newly launched vaccination centre will be a boon for parents of infants and children, requiring immunization. This facility at AKTC will also lessen the burden of other public and private hospitals”.
