USA alumnus speaks in ‘Career Counselling and Higher Education’ seminar

Wednesday, December 01, 2021

Boston, USA based Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) alumnus, Dr Syed Masarrat Ali engaged with AMU students to provide them with specialist guidance on personal and professional development in a seminar on ‘Career Counselling and Higher Education’ of the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA).

He discussed how his organisation mentors students for higher education in foreign countries and guides them to avail the best available scholarships.

Dr Masarrat shared anecdotes of meritorious AMU graduates and post-graduates—attending foreign universities for higher education.

Speaking on the importance of soft skills, he said: “Soft skills are very important because they help in defining you. Experts in these skills can easily secure their positions more easily and can diligently maintain good relationships with their company over time”.

Prof Imran Saleem (Director, RCA) presented a memento to Dr Syed Masarrat Ali and discussed ways to continue and expand the collaboration with Dr Syed Masarrat Ali and his organisation for the benefit of students.

Prof Asiya Chaudhary (Deputy Director, RCA), Dr Saima Shadab and Dr Sablu Khan were instrumental in organising the programme.

Dr Mansoor Alam Siddiqui extended the vote of thanks, while Fouzia Ajmal and Aafia Rizvi jointly conducted the programme.
