AMU Faculty delivers special address

Professor Sheeba Hamid, Coordinator, Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM), Department of Commerce, AMU delivered a special address in the closing ceremony in an online five days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Responsible Tourism in the New Normal”, organized by Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, sponsored by All India Council For Technical Education, New Delhi, held from 06-10 December 2021.

In her address, Professor Sheeba said, “ As we emerge into a new normal and learn to live with Covid 19, India’s tourism industry must evolve to create Covid ready destinations, one that is also sustainable and resilient in the long run. Now it is time to transit to a truly sustainable way of traveling that fits the conditions of the new normal. Responsible Tourism is about making better places for people to live in and better places for people to visit."
