AMU faculty delivers lectures in Universities of Kashmir and Kerala

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) faculty member from the Department of Mathematics, Prof Subuhi Khan discussed Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan’s genius work in the number theory and his mastery of continued fractions, Riemann series, elliptic integrals, hypergeometric series, and the functional equations of the zeta function in an online lecture of the University of Kashmir to commemorate the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Aiyangar Ramanujan and the National Mathematics Day.

She highlighted the importance of the celebration of this day and its long-term effects on the development of Mathematical culture at various levels in the country.  

Prof Subuhi also delivered an online talk at the International Conference on ‘Special Functions and Applications of the Department of Mathematics, the University of Kerala in which she discussed her work in quantum calculus and q-analogs.

Mathematicians from across the Nation and various countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Romania, Turkey, and USA participated in the conference.
