AMU dentist mentors in national workshop

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) faculty member from the Department of Prosthodontics, Dr Z A Dental College, Dr Pankaj Kharade mentored participants in a national workshop on ‘Prosthetic Rehabilitation of Post-Surgical Oral Defects’ in the 49th Indian Prosthodontics Society National Conference at Chennai—where he delineated various prosthetic rehabilitations in cases of Fibular Free Flap surgeries, Mandibular Ameloblastoma Resections and maxillary defects among other topics.  

“Rehabilitation of post-surgical defects for the management of oral cancer as well as mucormycosis is necessary to overcome affected functions like speech, swallowing and chewing. Prosthetic rehabilitation procedures improve psychological status of patients”, said Dr Kharade.
